Vacations

Thanks to Matt, Olivia has already been on three vacations and we are looking forward to our fourth. I think my husband is part fish. he gets cabin fever if he is away from the water for too long. Her first vacation was to California when she was two months old. The trip was really a present we gave to matt for being so good to us when we were in the hospital. We were there for five days and he never left our side. there was no extra bed in our room so he slept each night on a lazyboy. he took such good care of Olivia since I was unable to change her diapers and pick her up right after the c-section.

The next trip was to Arizona to meet her uncles and aunts from Matt's side of the family. This was her first airplane ride as well. I Forgot to take pictures because I was so nervouse about her ears. I had this crazy idea that if she wasnt constantly sucking on something her eardrums would break. she wouldn't eat and she has never liked the pacifier so needless to say I was a wreck. but inspite of her not sucking her ears were fine. We had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends, but I think Olivia's favorite part was swimming in Uncle Dan's pool with her daddy.

The most recent trip we took was to lake powell. We rented a house boat with Matt's brothes and thier wives a two other couples. Matt was able to surf and fish and spend some quality time with his brothers and I was able to relax and enjoy beautiful scenery and tranquility of lake powell. my favorite part of the trip was getting up early enough to see the sun rise with my baby and a good book.
